Greenwich Islamic Centre's Orphans Appeal 2026

Islamic Relief UK is an international NGO founded in 1984. We are the only Muslim charity member of the DEC. Our aim is to alleviate the suffering of the world's poorest people.

Due to the urgent needs on the ground, this Ramadan we are focusing on sponsorships in Gaza, Sudan, Somalia, Yemen and Afghanistan. Through the Orphan Sponsorship Programme, Islamic Relief provides essential assistance to these vulnerable children, ensuring they have access to basic necessities such as food, healthcare, education, and shelter. Islamic Relief also addresses the psychological well-being of these children. Many orphans have experienced profound trauma due to the loss of their parents and the ongoing violence in the region. Islamic Relief provides psychosocial support to help them cope with their experiences and build resilience. <img src="https://amanahfy-prod.s3.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com/admin-image-1770674423558.jpeg"> The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said: "The one who cares for an orphan and myself will be together in Paradise like this," and he held his two fingers together to illustrate.'
