Kit Advice:

The following items will help you through the cycling elements of the day: 

  • Baselayers, made from wicking material that will take the sweat away from your skin and dries quickly to keep you feeling dry
  • Cycling Jersey
  • Cycling Leggings/Shorts, ideally gel padded
  • Additional loose layers to go over the top of your cycling gear
  • Comfortable cycling trainers/shoes
  • Cycling gloves
  • Sports socks
  • Sunglasses (even if its cold, the winter sun can make your eyes hurt)
  • Waterbottle
  • Day Pack (20L)

Other optional items:

  • Warm Hat
  • Sun Block/Lip Balm
  • Personal First Aid Kit/Medications (Lightweight)
  • Gel Bicycle Saddle
